Use a stable page
Prefer a dated Daily Tape page, a market page, a wallet event URL, or a research article over a screenshot without a source. The stable URL is the starting point for verification.
Include the observation context
Record the market, event type, before-and-after values, observed timestamp, comparison-window start and end, rank/share where shown, attempted population, unavailable count, and coverage. These fields tell the reader what Isobath actually measured.
Separate observation from interpretation
“Isobath observed a $1.4M BTC exposure increase” is a reportable observation. “The trader became bullish” is an interpretation that requires evidence beyond the event. Isobath does not identify owners, intent, skill, profitability, or future price.
Link the method
Pair the event link with Research & methodology when describing ranking, material-change rules, coverage, provenance, or freshness. Use the glossary when a reader may not know a term.
Example citation note
A useful note might read: “Isobath, BTC Daily Tape, 2026-09-04, observed window shown on page; observed wallet increased exposure from $23.3M to $24.7M; coverage and scan age as displayed; accessed via the linked record.” Keep the exact page URL beside the note.
